PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz sought the contact number of a young fan from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to thank him personally after he made a portrait of her which was shared on Twitter.
The boy’s image carrying the sketch was originally shared by a tweep Muhammad Bilal Advocate. Maryam responded to the tweet as they follow each other on Twitter.
Meanwhile, this light moment of acknowledging the love of her supporter proved to be painful for Rabi Pirzada who posted two tweets in a thread to express her anguish.
Rabi – a former singer, actor and TV hostess – had quitted showbiz after a controversy involving some intimate images and announced to spend her life promoting religion.
Her annoyance is based on the fact that Maryam has never responded to her repeated tweets in which she shared a painting of hers. Nowadays, Rabi is trying to express herself as a painter.
So on Thursday, the heartbroken Rabi tagged Maryam yet again in her tweets, saying Maryam was like an elder to her but having repugnance in one’s heart and not promoting talent wasn’t the sign of a good leader.
Later, she praised the boy but told those criticising her initial tweet that Allah had always helped her and would so in the future too.
