The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday threw out the petition filed by Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Vawda seeking halt to the hearing of a disqualification case filed against him in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) as inadmissible for hearing, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Chief Justice (CJ) of the IHC Justice Athar Minallah threw out the petition in which Vawda had challenged the ECP’s order of October 12 on the grounds that the latter could decide on his ‘eligibility’ only within 60 days of the issuance of notification of his victory.

The CJ remarked, “If your hands are clean, you have nothing to worry about. Let the election commission hear the case against you.”
