The Federal Cabinet has approved the appointment of chief executive officer of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to sources, the decision has been taken to appoint renowned businessman Muhammad Zubair Motiwala as TDAP chief.
The Federal Cabinet gave its consent to the appoint through a circulation summary, the sources said, adding the appointment was made on the summary moved by the Commerce Ministry.
The sources further revealed that Zubai Motiwala’s appointment will be honorary as he will not draw salary.
The federal government has appointed the TDAP CEO setting aside the competitive process, the sources disclosed.
Zubair Motiwala is one of the country’s top business personality and exporter.
The TDAP CEP post was lying vacant after the resignation of Arif Ahmad Khan.
