Court to indict Shahbaz Gill on Nov 22 in sedition case

A court in Islamabad on Saturday fixed November 22 as a date for the indictment against PTI senior leader and party chairman Imran Khan's aide Shahbaz Gill for inciting the public against the state institutions. 

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Additional District and Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra heard the case and Shahbaz Gill appeared before the court along with his lawyer Ali Bukhari. 

Shahbaz Gill is facing a case that was registered against him under charges of making statements against the state institutions and inciting the people to rebel. 

Sections 124-A (sedition), 505 (statements conducing to public mischief), and of the Pakistan Penal Code have been added in the case under which Gill has been accused of spreading chaos, inciting people against the state along with other serious allegations.

Replying to an inquiry, the investigative officer told the court that the complete challan of the case has been presented in the Sessions Court.

Please write it down, Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra ordered.  

The court also fixed the next hearing on November 22 for framing charges against Gill in the sedition case.
