Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is once again on the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) ‘hit list’ as it has launched investigation against senior PML-N leader and former Punjab education minister Rana Mashhood in assets beyond sources of income case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Sources told 24News TV channel that on receiving complaint, the NAB headquarters in Islamabad had forwarded the case to bureau’s Lahore office.

Sources further disclosed that Mashhood’s wife Farhat Mashhood and his three daughters had also been included in the investigation.

It has been learnt that NAB, in order to verify the complaint, has approached different monetary organisations to get record of the assets of PML-N leader as well as his family members.

According to sources, the anti-corruption watchdog has sought details of Mashhood’s agricultural, residential, commercial and industrial properties in Punjab.

Apart from that, they added, record of the assets purchased or sold by the PML-N leader and his family besides the properties they had inherited and the gifts they had received had also been sought.

Sources added that Mashhood would also be summoned once the compilation of his assets’ record was complete.
