Robbers loot Rs15m worth valuables in major Lahore break-in

In a big robbery incident in Lahore’s Defence B area, the robbers made off with 100 tolas of gold, Rs5 million in cash, foreign currency worth Rs1 million and the prize bonds of the same denomination from a house on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The police filed an FIR on the complaint of Abdullah Mehboob, the owner of the house.

Mr Mehboob informed the police that the robbers broke into the house after smashing the window and fled with valuables and cash worth more than 15 million. 

He said that the robbers took away 100 tola gold, Rs5 million in cash, Rs1 million worth of prize bonds and foreign currency notes and fled. 

Superintendent Police Isa Sukhera said that a special investigation team had been formed to look into the case. The team would trace the accused after watching the CCTV footage of the scene.

He hoped that the culprits would soon be arrested and the looted valuables would be returned to the citizen.
