Sindh Assembly member and Pakistan People’s Party women wing president Faryal Talpur Tuesday met with the delegation of an International NGO, Save the Children, at Zardari House in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The delegation included the Humanitarian Director Gabriella Waaijman, Pakistan Country Director Khurram Gondal, and Director of Policy Advocacy Usman Aslam.
In the meeting, the problems faced by the flood-hit children came under discussion.
Faryal Talpur said that Women and Children are affected the most in any crisis. Due to climate change, record rains affected Sindh severely and caused a very major crisis. The severity of the crisis is so wide and deep that the provincial government cannot deal with it alone.
The situation demands that all governments, institutions, organizations, and individuals work together to transform this crisis into sustainable development, said the PPP leader. Faryal Talpur appreciated the efforts of Save the Children in the flood-affected areas.
