Govt fixes Roti price at Rs13

The district administration of Lahore has increased the rate of roti (flatbread) from Rs10 to Rs13 and naan from Rs15 to Rs20, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.    

In the open market, bakers (Nanbais) are already selling roti at Rs15 and naan for Rs25. The new prices were mentioned in a notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ali on Wednesday.

According to the notification, the prices of pulses have been reduced from Rs 25 to Rs 60. The price of milk and curd has also been maintained. Milk will be sold at Rs 135 and curd at Rs 160 per kg. The mutton price stands at Rs 1500 per kg while beef will be sold at Rs 700 per kg. The new rate of the basin is Rs 225 per kg, rice Rs 230 per kg, dal mash Rs 355 per kg, dal mash (small) Rs 330 per kg, dal mung Rs 225 per kg, and channa (black) Rs 200 per kg.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all Price Magistrates to ensure 100% implementation of fixed rates.
