Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi Wednesday succeeded in getting a development fund of Rs100 billion approved for Gujarat and Mandi Bahauddin.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, these cities are the hometown of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and his Principal Secretary, right-hand Muhammad Khan Bhatti.
Interestingly, both Gujarat and Mandi Bahauddin had left behind all other cities of Punjab in getting development funds. These cities have succeeded in getting Rs100 billion in the financial year 2022-23 and out of which a fund of 20 billion rupees has already been released.
On the other hand, a summary of the release of another four billion rupees for Gujarat has been sent to the finance department.
The sources said that a technical supplementary grant will be issued for road sector projects of the Gujrat division. A supplementary budget of Rs 45 billion has also been approved for Gujarat and Mandi Bahauddin.
