Prominent Pakistani playwright Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar appeared on Momin Saqib’s show ‘Had Kardi’ where they had an intense dispute over the co-education system and netizens said that Momin won this debate.
In the conversation held between the popular screenwriter and the host during the show, Qamar talked about the consequences of co-education he said it’s the biggest harm to society.
Here are the exact words of Khalil Ur Rehman:
“Co-education is the biggest threat to the society. People are reeling from the consequences of such a system and have yet to suffer a lot more.”
He further said he is strongly against co-education, suggesting that there should be separate educational institutions for girls and boys.
To which the host Momin Saqib replied:
“In your perspective co-education is wrong but at the same time you are making drama serials in which boys and girls are working together, having love affairs and close scenes on screens.”
The ‘Punjab Nahi Jaungi’ writer responded:
“You better look at the message, not the medium.”
Reacting upon which Momin again asked:
“Have you ever thought of making a serial in which there are only boys or only girls as you saying to separate genders in every field?”
The writer answered:
“Focus on the way of interaction of boy and girl in my serials. I have never promoted obscenity in my works and if an actress wears revealing clothes in a movie he has written the director has to convince him very hard for it.”
Netizens praised Momin for his confidence as he argued with a very senior drama and film writer of the Lollywood industry in a live show.
