Seven people including renowned Seraiki folk singer Sharafat Ali Khan died when their car in which they were travelling fell into a canal in Mianwali on early Thursday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The singer along with his brother Anwaar Ali Khan and five other members of team were returning from a marriage ceremony where they performed, and they met the accident in Wan Bichhraan locality of Pakka Ghanjeera in Mianwali. The driver lost control of the vehicle which fell into the canal. They all died by drowning.
The rescue personnel fished out the bodies from the canal and shifted them to district headquarters hospital.
District Emergency Officer Engineer Naveed Iqbal said seven bodies have been recovered from the car.
