JI too rejects EVMs, Sirajul Haq says govt wants to control ECP

The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) rejected using electronic voting machines (EVMs) in elections, reported 24News HD TV channel on Sunday.
JI chief Siraj-ul-Haq said that the government wanted to control the judiciary and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). He was addressing workers in Dir. He said that the ECP and opposition parties rejected the voting machine. He the government's pre-election rigging plan had been exposed. 
The JI chief said that the government’s accusations against the ECP were the weirdest happening of history, adding that the ECP's stance on EVMs was in the interest of the Constitution, democracy, and the people. 

He said that the government’s policies had crushed the people, adding that his party rejected the increase in electricity, oil, and ghee prices. “The government should immediately make effective arrangements to solve the problems of the overseas Pakistanis.”

The JI playing its due role to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare country.
