Followers of the very well renowned Allama Zameer Akhtar Naqvi remembered him as two years passed since he left them, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Allama was one of the most famous religious scholars, researchers, poets and writers of the Shia sect in Pakistan as well as in other Muslim countries.
He was born in Lucknow on the 24th of March in 1944 and got his basic education from there. He graduated from the Shia college of Lucknow and moved to Karachi in 1967 to continue his religious learning and teaching.
He excelled in other fields like prose writing and literary criticism as well other than poetry and book writing.
“Das Din Aur Das Raatain”, “Qaatilaan-e-Hussain A.S Ka Anjam” and “Mohsineen-e-Islam” are important and known works of the scholar.
He was very interested in Marsiya Nigari and also wrote critical notes about many famous Urdu poets like Mir Anees, Mirza Dabeer and Josh Malih-Abadi in this category.
The author wrote biographies of major religious personalities like Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad’s (PBUH) wife Bibi Khadija (AS) and daughter Bibi Fatima-tuz-Zahra (AS).
Allama Zameer Akhtar Naqvi lost his life to cardiac arrest two years ago. He was given a very grand funeral and buried in Karachi.
