Transparency International wrote a letter to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif Monday regarding the registration of banned drugs and their illegal selling in the open market stating that the European Medicines Agency banned Pandol Extend 665 mg in February 2018 reasoning that it leaves deleterious effects on organs including liver damage, reported 24News HD TV channel.

As per Transparency International, Pakistan is involved in the malpractice of selling banned and unregistered medicines openly in markets, putting masses’ health in hazards, adding that authorities have turned blind eye against such illegalities.

It has called for an immediate action against production and sale of counterfeit medicine.
