One youth was killed on the spot while four others were seriously wounded when two groups clashed with each other in Swabi following Pakistan’s humiliating defeat to Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final yesterday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The dead was identified as Sajjad while those who were injured were Irfan, Ijaz, Tahir and one other.
Soon after learning about the incident, a heavy contingent of police reached the spot to avoid further bloodshed.
Police said they had taken four people into custody, registered an FIR and begun a probe into the incident.
