Gold price sharply rises in Pakistan against global trend

The global market witnessed a big decline in the rates of yellow metal but against the international trend, the Pakistani jewellers market saw a sharp rise in the prices of gold on Tuesday.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, one tola of pure gold of 24 karats has witnessed a price hike of Rs5,600 to Rs2,15,000.

The price of 10 grams of pure gold of 24 karats has risen by Rs5,058, marking a new price point of Rs1,84,585 per 10 grams.

The price of 22 karats of gold usually used for jewellery making in Pakistan has also increased and traded at Rs1,68,967 per 10 grams.

In the international market, the price of gold decreased by US$15 per ounce to US$1,911 per ounce on Tuesday.

The price of pure silver of 24 karats also increased by Rs50 per tola and traded at Rs2,550 per tola. The price of 10 grams of pure silver of 24 karats also increased by Rs42.87 to Rs2186.21.

It is worth mentioning that the jewellery market in Pakistan witnessed a great fall of Rs29,900 per tola in gold prices in the last seven days but such a trend changed today (Tuesday).
