Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi assured the people of south Punjab that the project of the Nishtar-II hospital will be made operational this year.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Punjab CM Naqvi talked to the media persons during his visit to the Children's Complex Hospital in Multan on Monday.
Answering different queries from the media persons, CM Naqvi said they have a limited time as caretaker government but steps are being taken for the improvement of hospitals on priority.
He said providing the best healthcare facilities to the people is the first priority of him and special attention is being given to development projects.
CM Naqvi said his government is trying to complete the new building of the cardiology centre as they are focusing on South Punjab from the first day after becoming in power.
The CM said the effects of the cultivation of wheat and edible oil in the province will be seen soon.
He also assured the people that work on the Shujaabad Bridge will be started soon. He said they have saved three billion rupees in the crop of cotton.
He said his government was working together with the federal government to prevent smuggling and the effects of efforts to prevent trafficking will be visible.
Earlier, CM Naqvi inspected the Nishtar-II project with provincial ministers, secretaries, IG Punjab, and other officials.
He visited the under-construction emergency, waiting area for attendants of patients, admin block, radiology department, pharmacy, operation theatres, CT scan room, basement, and cafe building.
The Secretary of the Communications department and Project Director of Nishtar-II Multan gave a briefing about the completion of work on the project.
Mohsin Naqvi instructed the project officials to complete construction as early as possible as the completion of the Nishtar-II project will reduce the burden on Nishtar Hospital, Mohsin.
