The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has launched an investigation into a casino scandal involving two of its officers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Chairman of the PCB Management Committee, Zaka Ashraf, has issued show cause notices to the Board’s Media Head, Umar Kalson, and GM International, Adnan Ali. Both officials have been directed to submit a written explanation within seven days.

The scandal came to light when it was discovered that the two officials had allegedly visited a casino, which is in direct violation of their contracts with the PCB.

According to these contracts, board employees are prohibited from visiting places such as gambling houses.

Zaka Ashraf has stated that if the officials are found guilty, action will be taken against them in accordance with the law. This is not the first time that PCB officials have been embroiled in such controversies. In the past, action was taken against the national team manager and test cricketer Moin Khan for visiting a casino.

The PCB is committed to maintaining the integrity of the sport and its officials. Any violation of this commitment is taken very seriously and is dealt with swiftly and decisively. The current investigation is a testament to this commitment.
