The secretary general of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Arsenio Antonio Dominguez Velasco is set to make a maiden visit to Pakistan from September 12 to 14, 2024, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

This marks the first time an IMO Secretary-General will be visiting the country.

According to his visit schedule, Secretary-General Antonio will participate in the "International Maritime Sustainability Exhibition and Conference," a key event focused on promoting sustainable practices in the maritime industry.

Additionally, he is scheduled to hold important meetings with Pakistan’s leadership and senior government officials to discuss cooperation and developments in the maritime sector.
