Newly-elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday reached Karachi on his day-long visit, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
On his arrival, Prime Minister Shehbaz was received by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. He was accompanied by Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqi, Maulana Asad Mehmood, Miftah Ismail, Akram Durrani and others.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah presented Sindhi Ajrak and caps to his guests.
Then the new prime minster along with his delegation, CM Shah and other provincial ministers headed to the Quaid-i-Azam mausoleum to pay his respects.
Shehbaz will visit the Sindh Chief Minister’s House where he will be briefed about the civic problems of the metropolitan city.
He will also meet the leadership of Muttahida Qaumi Movement at Bahadurabad.
Earlier informing about his engagements during his daylong stay in the Sindh capital, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the prime minister would first go to Quaid’s mausoleum to pay his respects there.
“He will then chair a meeting at Sindh House, which will also be attended by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah besides government officials,” she said, and added that at the meeting Shehbaz will receive a briefing on the city’s development projects.
Later, Marriyum added, the PM would head to Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan’s (MQM-P) headquarters in Bahadurabad, where he will thank the party leadership for voting for him in the election for the seat of prime minister besides holding discussions with them on how to resolve the issues confronting the provincial capital residents.
