In the case of an airport security force (ASF) officer misbehaving with a girl, the aviation division sought a report.

The incident of the officer's misbehaviour took place on March 10 at Jinnah International Airport and the video of it went viral on social media.

The incident captured in the viral video took place at the International Arrivals section of Karachi Airport. The footage shows a young girl eagerly running towards her father, who had arrived from abroad. However, the ASF officer, dressed in a blue uniform, heartlessly snatched the underage child and heartlessly threw her to the ground.

Upon seeing her father, instead of expressing joy, the distraught girl burst into tears and ran towards him, embracing him tightly, with tears streaming down her face. The video has ignited a firestorm on social media, with users expressing their outrage and condemnation.

The little girl can be seen crying when she again goes to meet her father.

The officer who misbehaved with the girl is likely to be given the harshest punishment and he could also face the court marshal as well.

The officer’s actions have drawn severe criticism from users on social media platforms.

An ASF spokesperson has confirmed that the video is authentic but added that the officer was responsible for his action, not the entire force.

In response to a query, an Airport Security Force spokesperson stated that this was an old, isolated incident and an individual act by the officer in question. The spokesperson emphasized that such inappropriate behaviour is strictly prohibited, and disciplinary action has been taken against the officer.

The ASF unequivocally stated that they do not tolerate any form of misconduct or mistreatment.

Social media users, including former national cricket team captain Shahid Afridi, have expressed their dismay over the incident. Afridi, in a tweet, expressed his deep sorrow, mentioning that the innocent girl ran towards her father for the first time, unaware that a heartless person would callously throw her to the ground. He emphasized that anyone incapable of showing empathy towards children should not be entrusted with any public-facing responsibilities.
