A 25-member delegation of the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO), headed by Secretary-General Asad Majeed Khan, arrived in the provincial capital on Sunday on a two-day official visit, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
On arrival at the Lahore Airport, the delegation was warmly received by Provincial Agriculture Minister Ashiq Hussain Kirmani.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion include Secretary of Tourism Fareed Ahmad Tarar, Managing Director (MD) of the Tourism Development Corporation of Pakistan (TDCP) Dr Nasir Mehmood, and Pakistan’s Ambassador in Iran Mudaddar Tipu, who welcomed the delegation.
It is necessary to mention here that the delegation is visiting Lahore on the special invitation extended by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
The visit of ECO delegation will further help strengthen cultural and historical ties between the two friendly countries.
