Punjab Governor says he will contest next elections

Punjab Governor Muhammad Sarwar has announced to contest elections, saying he wants to work for the welfare of the poor people of this country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to newsmen in Lahore on Friday, Governor Sarwar said “I did not come to Pakistan (from the UK) to sit in the Governor’s House. I want to serve the poor people.”
Responding to a question, the governor said “Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi of PML-Q is our ally and he never indicated that his party wanted to derail the government.
To another query, Sarwar said “In next elections, I will be out to do politics of the constituency.”
Governor Sarwar said a government always benefits from a divided opposition.
