Imran Khan files nomination papers for NA-31, NA-246

Candidates from various political parties including the PTI chief have started submitting their nomination papers for the vacant National Assembly seats after the Election Commission of Pakistan announced the by-elections schedule on them, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Reportedly, Haji Shaukat Ali submitted the nomination papers for Peshawar constituency NA-31 on behalf of PTI Chief Imran Khan. He also submitted his nomination papers as a covering candidate.
This seat fell vacant after the acceptance of the resignation of Shaukat Ali, the PTI member.
Former Sindh governor Imran Ismail also submitted Imran Khan’s nomination papers for the by-election on Karachi constituency NA 246.
PTI Chief Imran has decided to contest by-elections scheduled to be held on Sept 25 on nine NA seats which fell vacant after the acceptance of the resignations of PTI members of lower house.
The PTI chief has already prepared his nomination papers for the election on these seats. He would contest election from NA-22, NA-24, NA-31, NA-45, NA-108, NA-118, NA-237, NA-239 and NA-246.
