Punjab CM announces construction of 3 world-class sports arenas

Chief Minister Punjab Ch. Pervaiz Elahi has announced the construction of three world-class sports arenas in Gujranwala, Multan and Lahore, reported 24 News HD TV Channel Saturday   

Welcoming the wrestlers who performed brilliantly in the Commonwealth Games at the Chief Minister's office, Pervaiz Elahi assured the guests that world-class facilities will be provided to the players in the sports arena. 

Pervez Elahi congratulated wrestlers Zaman Anwar, Sharif Tahir, and Ali Asad for winning medals in Commonwealth Games and praised their professional spirit.

Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi gave prizes of Rs 10, 10 lakh to Silver medalist wrestlers Zaman Anwar, and Sharif Tahir and Rs 5 lakh to Bronze medalist Ali Asad on the occasion. Punjab government will continue to encourage wrestlers, he added. 

Chief Minister also announced to send wrestlers abroad for training besides hiring the services of foreign coaches for the home.  

He said that wrestlers had made the nation proud by winning medals. He also prayed for their success in the future. 

Provincial Sports Minister Malik Taimur Masood, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Muhammad Khan Bhatti, Sports Secretary, DG Sports Board Punjab, and other officials were also present on the occasion.
