Five people of the same family were burnt alive after the vehicle they were travelling in caught fire on Hazara Motorway in Haripur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to Rescue 1122, the fire broke out in the vehicle near Jhari Kas Interchange in which five persons belonging to Bannu were burnt alive.
On information, a Rescue 1122 team reached the spot and shifted the bodies to a trauma centre.
Two killed as oil tanker bursts into flames in Lower Dir
Two people were killed when an oil tanker caught fire in Talash Bangi area of Lower Dir after hitting an electricity pole.
Rescue 1122 personnel said that soon after learning about the incident, the control room dispatched three fire brigade vehicles and two ambulances to the site of the incident.
They further said that a medical team had shifted both the bodies to Timergara Hospital in an ambulance.
The personnel informed that the firefighters used foam to completely douse the flames after battling them for one and a half hours.
Besides that, they disclosed, that a seminary and two shops near the road had also caught fire, which was also put out.
