Federal Minister for Privatization, Investment Board and Communications Abdul Aleem Khan met with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
In the meeting, issues of mutual interest, the country's economic and political situation were discussed.
Development project of Lahore was also discussed in the meeting. Issues related to privatization were also discussed in the meeting.
Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan congratulated Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on the launch of Field Hospital, Clinic on Wheels and the first Air Ambulance.
Speaking on the occasion, Maryam Nawaz said that construction and expansion of more than 600 roads across Punjab will facilitate the people with the completion of the project.
Maryam said that five major expressways are being built in Punjab connecting the cities to each other. Construction, expansion and repair of roads bring prosperity to the people of the region, Maryam said.
The Chief Minister said Punjab government will provide solar panels to solve the problem of expensive electricity.
The interest of foreign institutions in the Nawaz Sharif IT City project in Lahore is welcome, Maryam said.
Talking on the occasion, Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said that the performance of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for the development and prosperity of the people is commendable.
Abdul Aleem Khan said that roads, education, health projects and clean Punjab will be successful.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif's steps to control inflation are commendable, said Abdul Aleem Khan.
He said that privatization of loss-making institutions including PIA will reduce the burden on the national exchequer.
Board of Investment has launched One Window and Ease of Business for domestic and foreign investment, Abdul Aleem Khan said.
