The Meteorological Department has forecast rain from August 14 to August 18 in most parts of the country, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
The Met Office said downpours are expected from August 14 to August 16. From August 14 to August 18, rain with strong winds is likely in the Punjab areas including Islamabad Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujarat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Okara, Pakpattan, Kasur, Khushab and Sargodha.
From August 15 to 18, strong winds with isolated thundershowers will hit Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Khanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Khanewal, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Kot Addu, Rajanpur and Rahim Yar Khan, the weather experts maintained.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, there is a possibility of strong winds and scattered thundershowers in Chitral Dir, Swat, Malakand, Bajaur, Shangla, Bitgram, Buner, Kohat, Bajaur, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Charsadda, Hangu, Orakzai, Waziristan, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan from 14th.
In Balochistan, strong winds with chances of scattered showers are likely to hit Khuzdar, Lasbela, Awaran, Kalat, Zhob, Barkhan, Musa Khel, Mastung, Shirani, Kohlu Bolan, Harnai, Naseerabad, Jafarabad and Makran.
In Sindh, rain is expected in Sanghar, Mitiari, Umarkot, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Khairpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, and Dadu, while strong winds, scattered thunderstorms are likely to hit the coastal areas of Sindh, the Met office reported.
In Gilgit-Baltistan, intermittent rain with strong winds is expected in Diamer, Astor, Skardu, Gilgit, Ghanche, and Shagar from August 15 to 18.
