An unknown person raped an eight-year-old girl and threw her in a pool of water in an unconscious condition in a suburban village of Umarkot, Sindh on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

On receiving information, police shifted Kaveeta Bhel, the girl, to a hospital in a critical condition.

Later, she was taken to a hospital in Hyderabad on account of the lack of facilities at the local hospital.

Police said the girl had gone to a shop to buy something that she fell into the paedophile’s trap.  

Earlier, doctors at the local hospital confirmed the girl was raped.

MS Civil Hospital Dr Hanif Aresar said that samples taken from the girl’s body had been sent to a laboratory.

Although, police have started an investigation yet FIR of the incident could not be lodged till the filing of this news.
