Federal Cabinet meeting rescheduled; meets in evening today

The timing of the federal cabinet which was scheduled to meet today at 9am has been changed and now the meeting will take place later in the evening, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The cabinet meeting will be held at PM House at 6:30pm under the chair of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. 

The cabinet takes up a three-point agenda during today’s meeting. It will approve the Reko Diq project. The petroleum division will brief the cabinet members over the project. 

The cabinet will also adopt the regulatory consents granted to the Reko Diq project.

It will ratify December 11 decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC). 

The ECC in its meeting had approved the Reko Diq funding plan of the federal and Balochistan governments. 

The federal cabinet in its meeting will ratify the ECC decision regarding its approval of the Rekjo Diq project.
