UHS issues final merit list for MBBS admission

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has officially released the final merit list for admission to public medical and dental colleges, bringing clarity to the selection process for aspiring students, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.


According to a UHS spokesperson, the merit lists, comprising 4485 candidates, have been made available on the university's official website after an interim merit list was issued on December 8.


Candidates had a 48-hour window to register objections to the initial list, utilizing the online portal provided for this purpose.


A substantial 1159 objections were submitted within the stipulated time frame.


After careful consideration of all objections, the final merit lists were issued under the leadership of UHS's Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof Nadia Naseem.


The admission team, which includes senior faculty members played a pivotal role in preparing the lists.


 The final merit lists will serve as the basis for admissions to medical and dental colleges in the public sector.


A total of 3389 candidates will be enrolled in public medical and dental colleges through open merit and quota seats.


For those aspiring to secure a spot in public medical colleges, the first selection list for allocation will be announced on December 15.
