Reema Khan responds to Nasir Adeeb's remarks

Reema Khan, a celebrated Pakistani actress with an illustrious career in the film industry, on Friday responded to controversial remarks by writer Nasir Adeeb. 

In an interview this week, Adeeb talked about Reema’s social background and said he rejected her for a film before her debut because he did not see in her the talent that an actor should have. His comments drew a strong reaction, with many in the industry calling them unnecessary and unwarranted. 

Reema, who left the film industry at the peak of her career to marry Dr. Tariq Shahab, is now living a happy married life in the United States. Instead of responding directly to Adeeb’s remarks, she replied indirectly.

In a Jumma Mubarak message on her social media page, Reema wrote, “A man can be the best creation of Allah only if others are safe from his wickedness.”
