The Sindh government has declared December 25 a public holiday, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.

According to the notification issued by the provincial chief secretary, the holiday will be observed on account of the Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.

The notification read: “The Government of Sindh hereby declares 25 December, 2024 (Wednesday) as Public Holiday on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Day / Christmas, for all Offices / Autonomous Bodies / Semi-Autonomous Bodies, Corporations and Local Councils under Administrative Control of the Government of Sindh except those engaged in essential services.”

However, the provincial government announced December 26 another holiday for Christians marking Xmas.
