Troops of the Karachi Corps are practicing tactical drills and procedures as part of the “Jidar-ul-Hadeed” Exercise in Thar Desert that commenced on January 28, 2021.
The four weeks long defensive manoeuvre is aimed at validating the concept of defence in deserts, says a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), media wing of the Pakistan Army, on Saturday.
The exercise is being conducted in extreme desert conditions 74 kilometres ahead of Chhor, under the conventional operations setting and are scheduled to culminate on February 28, 2021.
