Sardar Sikandar Hayat quits PML-N, joins Muslim Conference as supreme leader

Sardar Sikandar Hayat, former prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, on Friday quit the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and joined the Muslim Conference as head of the party. 

The All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference has named Hayat as supreme leader of the party. Hayat, who has also served as prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, was the founder of the PML-N in Azad Kashmir and he played a vital role in formation of the incumbent PML-N-led government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. 

According to a report, Hayat has also invited his friends in the PML-N to re-join the Muslim Conference. He said that a strong Muslim Conference was vital to a strong national identity. He said he would work to make the Muslim Conference strong and stable.
