Some influential people brutally tortured a waiter at a restaurant in Sukheki service area of the motorway in Hafizabad, and to rub salt into the poor man’s wounds the police rather than taking action against the assailants, arrested him instead, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The condition of the waiter, who is detained at Kaleki police station’s lockup, is stated to be critical.
24News, on the other hand, has obtained CCTV video footage of the incident.
The influential persons, who are from Sargodha, got the case registered against the waiter on the basis of slight injuries they suffered while beating him up.
