Başımız Sağolsun, a main character of the popular Turkish drama Kuruluş Osman along with his wife lost their lives after being buried under the debris following the terrible earthquake in Turkey and Syria last week, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The death of Başımız Sağolsun and his musician wife Zalan Tigris had been confirmed on Instagram by the production company Bozdag Film. The actor played the role of an important soldier of Konya Palace in the popular Turkish drama series Kuruluş Osman, based on Islamic conquests.
It says “We are deeply saddened by the loss of the valuable actor of our TV series Establishment Osman, Çağdaş Çankaya, and his musician wife, Zilan Tigris, in the earthquake disaster that deeply injured us all.”
“We wish God's mercy on our valuable player Çağdaş Çankaya, his wife, and all our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake, and our condolences to their relatives. May your place be heaven,” it adds.
It is pertinent to note that more than 36,000 people have been killed and tens of thousands injured after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Turkey and Syria one week ago.
