Maritime Exercise AMAN-23: Naval warships practice in open sea

On the third day of the 8th Multinational Naval Exercise Aman-23, domestic and foreign naval warships practiced in the open sea, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The five-day exercise involves the participation of over 50 countries with ships, aircraft, Special Operations Forces Marine (SOFM) teams, and observers. Exercise has been divided into harbor and sea phases.

It is aimed at providing a forum for understanding maritime concepts and operational cultures, enhancing interoperability, and identifying ways and means to combat common threats at sea. It is organized by Pakistan Navy biennially since 2007. 

On Monday, Pakistan Navy conducted an anti-piracy operation exercise under a sea phase, in which foreign naval warships also took part.   

The heavy gun firing was demonstrated in the open sea in the exercise. 

Fly-past of JF-17, P3C Orion, and ATR aircraft held in the Aman exercise. The fly-past of Sikorsky SH-3 Sea King and Zulu Helicopters was also held during the exercise. This series of exercises aims to enhance cooperation and interoperability among the multinational maritime forces to further strengthen and maintain regional stability.
