Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Monday foiled a terror bid in Dera Ghazi Khan and arrested two ‘terrorists’ linked with the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
As per details, the two TTP terrorists identified as Subhan alias Wana, and Masood- ur-Rahman were arrested during the intelligence-based operations in South Punjab. The arrested terrorists had planned large-scale sabotage in South Punjab.
The security personnel had recovered hand grenades, weapons, IEDs, explosives material, and ball bearings from their possessions, CTD Punjab.
According to the CTD sources, a case was registered against them. They have been transferred to an unknown location for further investigation. Important revelations are expected in the ongoing investigation of arrested terrorists, the sources added.
