An alleged motorbike snatcher chased by people jumped from the third floor of a building and entangled in electricity wires in the limits of Nabi Bakhsh Police Station in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The alleged bike snatcher, identified as Zohaib, has been shifted to the police station from the hospital for further interrogation.
Zohaib, while chased by people, jumped from the Jubilee Mansion building in Paredi Quarters. Zohaib at first landed on electric wires after jumping from third floor and then fell down on ground.
The incident took place near Wilson Street. Zohaib sustained critical injuries after falling on the ground. Police shifted him to Civil Hospital Karachi and later, after treatment, he was moved to police station.
The police have booked the alleged bike snatcher and investigating the matter.
The applicant, on whose request FIR was registered, said that Zohaib was trying to take his bike away after starting it, but as he raised hue and cry, the alleged thief fell down on ground.
When people chased him, he ran from the incident site on foot and entered a building. However, when he saw he was going to be caught by people, he jumped from the third floor of the Jubilee Mansion building.
Police shifted him to the hospital in injured condition.
