IHC summons PM Kakar in personal capacity in Baloch students non-recovery case

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday summoned Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar in his personal capacity in connection with Baloch students non-recovery case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


IHC’s Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard the case and directed the caretaker prime minister to appear before the court on Monday next at 10:00 am.


Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani remarked that the punishment for enforced disappearances should be death penalty. “People involved in enforced disappearances should get death penalty twice,” he added.


Later, the court summoned Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar in his personal capacity on Monday at 10 O'clock and adjourned the hearing of the case till February 19.


During the proceedings, Assistant Attorney General Usman Ghamman requested the court defer the hearing as the Attorney General is not available today, which was rejected by the court.


During the hearing, the Advocate General took the stand that they need more time in this case, on which Justice Mohsin Kayani said that it is his pleasure that he is not calling the two DGs, the Caretaker Prime Minister should appear himself on Monday at 10 am.
