PTI-backed candidates declared winner from PK-20 and PK-21

The political landscape in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's assembly Tuesday saw  significant shifts as Jamaat-e-Islami lost two more seats, consolidating PTI’s position in the region's electoral scene, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to official results of Bajaur’s PK-20, PTI- backed independent candidate Anwar Zaib Khan has been declared winner in the election with securing 12,917 votes.

Earlier, JI candidate Maulana Waheed Gul was declared winner in the unofficial results.  PML-N Shahabuddin Khan remained second with 6,969 votes. JI Maulana Waheed Gul is third with 6909 votes.

Likewise, PTI- backed independent candidate Ajmal Khan secured the victory with the margin of 85,84 votes from Bajaur’s PK-21.  

According to official results, Ajmal Khan supported by PTI won with 16712 votes. This decision effects the victory of Sardar Khan of Jamaat-e-Islami who won earlier, turned into a loss.  Sardar Khan remained second with 8128 votes.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued the Form 49 results.
