The Sindh High Court (SHC) sought a report from the Karachi University Vice-Chancellor on non-PhD faculty members teaching PhD classes in School of Law, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The High Court heard the case on an application against teachers without PhD degrees in the School of Law as the SHC apprised that to teach PhD students, the faculty members must have PhD degrees.

The petitioner cited the Supreme Court verdict of 2012 to support his argument.

The TV channel reported that the SHC now sought a reply from the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Karachi.

The petitioner said Karachi University did not enroll any student in the PhD admission however, police officers and FIA officials were enrolled in the PhD admissions.
