Usama Satti case: 7 police officers removed in light of judicial inquiry report

The judicial inquiry report into Usama Satti’s murder by ATS states that Usama was not involved in any criminal activity on the night of the incident and that the duty officer acted irresponsibly.
Following the judicial inquiry report, Islamabad police removed seven policemen including three SPs, one DSP and two SHOs from their duties and started investigation against them. SP ATS, SP Investigation and SP I-9 removed from their offices. Ramna DSP, SHO, duty officer and Karachi Company SHO also suspended.
The inquiry report said that phycological training must be given to the ATS and police operation teams. It also recommended ban on tainted glass vehicles.
The inquiry report said that the officers present post-incident were also found trying to destroy evidence at the crime scene.
