Pakistan People’s Party MNA Syed Naveed Qamar on Thursday announced the party will hold tractor march on January 24 amid the pertaining fertilizer crisis, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to journalists in Lahore, Qamar said there has been a severe shortage of urea fertilizer across the country.
PPP central leader alleged that the government has been importing everything on credit.
Qamar said if the farmers do not get timely fertilizer and water, it will affect the economy.
Qamar lashed out at the Punjab government and claimed that Buzdar government has been giving a bag of fertilizer on an identity card.
“Our agriculture is always going through some kind of crisis”, added Qamar.
On the other side, PPP-Parliamentarian’s Spokesperson Shazia Marri said farmers have been protesting on the streets.
Marri took a jibe at the ruling Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) and said the incompetent government is not ready to listen to farmers.
