Security forces shot dead an Afghan spy during a successful operation conducted near Pakistan-Afghanistan border area on January 11, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Sources said that the dead spy was trying to escape to Afghanistan. He was later identified as Mohammad Khan Ahmed Khel son of Haji Mohammad Qasim Dawaran Khan.
The 48-year-old Afghan spy Mohammad Khan alias Abdullah was a resident of Afghan province of Paktia. Security forces also recovered Afghan national identity card from his possession.
Sources further revealed that the dead Afghan spy was deployed by Afghan intelligence agency to operate inside Pakistan.
Mohammad Khan smuggled huge quantity of arms and ammunition from Afghanistan to Qila Saifullah, Zhob and Loralai for terror activities.
An intelligence source said that after a probe it was believed that most of the terrorist attacks were planned in Afghanistan and terrorists used Afghan soil to destabilize Pakistan.
Pakistani authorities handed over evidences to Afghan interim government regarding terrorist activities in Pakistan but Afghan government miserably failed to act against Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists.
Defence analysts asked Afghan interim government to take meaningful action against terrorist groups on the basis of credible evidences provided to them.
They further advised Afghan government to distance itself from its two-way policy and take action against terrorist groups who used Afghan soil to destabilize Pakistan.
