TV roadshow anchor Maira Hashmi has created a stir on social media ever since the video of her slapping a boy went viral.
On social media, a video of a female journalist hitting a little boy while covering the Eidul Azha celebrations has gone viral. The journalist can be seen in the video, which has received thousands and thousands of views, reading her piece to the camera before throwing a hard slap to a youngster who is watching from a distance.
The reporter was documenting the news when she abruptly lost her composure and smacked the boy standing next to her. She finished reporting and then became upset for no apparent reason. However, it is thought that the adolescent said something pointless that prompted the journalist lose her self-control.
After the video went viral and some people criticized the reporter for her act, Maira Hashmi issued a statement on Twitter saying, "This guy was harassing the family during the interview,” which made the family upset. Didn't give it another chance to be tolerated?"
The video received over 66K views and 2961 likes after being shared online. After watching this video, social media users were perplexed since they couldn't really understand what caused the journalist to lose her calm. A few people disapproved of her violent actions. One person posted, "You believe it to be cool, right? Ma'am, this is abuse and it's not cool. Will you ever strike your kid in this manner? No? So why did you use someone else's instead? A child is more likely to act that way. He is prone to making noise and upsetting his family. I'm dissatisfied." Another other said, "Exactly! Her lies. She put this video up on her own to attract attention. However, she didn't share the scene in which the boy was making fun of a family."
