District Administration authorities have sealed six private schools in different areas of Quetta for teaching Iranian curriculum illegally, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Quetta Assistant Commissioner City Muhammad Zohaibul Haq took action against schools located at Jokrani Road and Hazara Town where the Iranian curriculum was being taught.

The officials of the district administration said the city has 10 schools that were established without permission. Six out of these schools have been sealed and the remaining four are under investigation.

The district administration officials in Quetta revealed that heads of educational institutions and teachers are foreigners and ‘unacceptable literature’ was also recovered from the sealed schools.

It was further revealed that the students used to go to Iran for further education as they were not affiliated with the Pakistani education board.

These sealed schools were operating without permission for many years. Education Department officials said that registration of private schools is mandatory under the 2015 Act.
