Farah Khan and her husband Ahsan Jameel Gujjar have been treated as residents of former prime minister Imran Khan's residence in Bani Gala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The Ministry of Interior has ordered an inquiry into why the security SOPs were not complied with and the visits of Farah Khan and her husband were not recorded in the registers of the special branch of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
According to the Special Branch's 44-month record, Farah Gogi and her husband Ahsan Jameel Gujjar were not included in the list of visitors to the Prime Minister's House 'Bani Gala'.
Sources familiar with the matter told The News that during the interrogation, the staff of the special branch stationed at the PM's house in Bani Gala revealed that Farah Khan and Ahsan frequented Jamil Gujjar's residence frequently.
However, the couple's entry was never recorded as the special branch was instructed to "deal the couple as residents of the Prime Minister's House as they are part of the family."
Sources in the Special Branch of Islamabad Police told the media that “the couple's entry and exit from Imran Khan's Bani Gala's residence was never documented.
The former prime minister, Imran Khan did not stay in the official Prime Minister's House during his 44-month tenure but declared his private residence as his official residence.
The Special Branch of the Islamabad Police controls the entrance and exit of the Prime Minister's House as part of the security provided to the Prime Minister.
The staff of the Prime Minister's Secretariat keeps a record of all visitors to the Prime Minister's House.
This record is kept in a register and contains the names and vehicle numbers of all the visitors.
This policy applies to all coming ministers, MPs, politicians, government officials and individuals.
Bani Gala, a few miles from Constitution Avenue, is a huge private property of 300 canals on a hilltop and was officially declared the Prime Minister's House by Imran Khan.
Because the head of government lived there, all security protocols were in and around the then Prime Minister Imran Khan's Bani Gala residence.
This included the deployment of police, rangers and other security protocols.
Farah Khan and her husband were known as close family friends of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Khan.
The couple is accused of influencing government affairs in Islamabad and Punjab.
It is alleged that the couple was involved in various controversies ranging from transfer of a police officer of Pakpattan district to get relief from a prominent businessman to appointment and transfer of senior officers in Punjab.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has launched an investigation into Farah Khan's disproportionate assets.
