In a major boost in Pakistan-Russia energy trade, a shipment of Russian liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has also reached Pakistan via land route through Afghanistan, a day after a Russian oil tanker docked the Karachi Port, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The first shipment containing 10 containers of the Russian LPG reached Pakistan’s Torkham border on Monday.
The LPG was imported from Russia through land route of Uzbekistan and then Afghanistan.
In the preliminary phase, 110,000 tons of LPG has been imported for which an agreement had been signed with Russia in January last.
Following import of Russian LPG, the new LPG rate will be determined in the next few days.
